Tom Sizemore is in critical condition after having a brain aneurysm.

About two in the morning on Saturday, the 61-year-old actor went into aneurysm in his Los Angeles home. Sizemore's manager Charles Lago confirmed to USA TODAY that Sizemore had been brought to a hospital.

Tom is hospitalised and receiving intensive treatment due to a brain aneurysm, according to a statement from Lago. He is currently in critical condition, so everything is to be seen.

The actor is most recognised for his performance as Mike Horvath in Tom Hanks' “Saving Private Ryan,” a 1998 Steven Spielberg film. As well as the 2001 films “Black Hawk Down” and “Pearl Harbor,” he also made an appearance in the 2017 “Twin Peaks” revival series.

Sizemore has a history of addiction and legal troubles, including a 2003 conviction for assault and battery on his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss, an arrest in 2016 on suspicion of felony domestic violence, a lawsuit from a stuntman in 2016 alleging that Sizemore ran him over with a car while filming “Shooter,” and a civil lawsuit from a woman in 2020 alleging that he groped her on a set when she was 11 years old. The assertion was disputed by the actor, and the lawsuit was ultimately dropped.

Sizemore wrote a biography on his history with addiction called “By Some Miracle I Made It Out of There” in 2013.

After the publication of the book in 2013, Sizemore told The Associated Press that he thought his addiction was caused by the trappings of success, which he thought he could hide with booze.

In the interview, he added, “People could tell if you were intoxicated, so I was like, ‘Hey, look, let me find a substance where I feel comfortable in my own skin. “But I did. The drug I discovered was known as cocaine. I engaged in it briefly. Later I discovered heroin, which was an even better drug.”

He claimed that crystal meth eventually took over his life and was the catalyst for his decline from success.
