Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and US Senator Marco Rubio are among several prominent international figures reportedly named on a proposed “Board of Peace” aimed at supporting long-term stability and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The initiative is said to focus on diplomatic engagement, humanitarian coordination, and post-conflict recovery, bringing together experienced political leaders, policymakers, and global influencers. Supporters of the plan argue that such a board could help bridge gaps between regional stakeholders and the international community while promoting sustainable peace efforts.
However, the proposal has also drawn criticism, with some questioning the selection of board members and expressing concerns over representation and accountability. Analysts note that while advisory bodies can play a constructive role, meaningful progress in Gaza will depend on concrete political agreements, local involvement, and sustained international commitment.
