Donald Trump has warned Iran of severe consequences if it attempts to block oil shipments through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. In a statement, Trump said the United States would respond “far harder” if Tehran disrupts the global oil supply route, which carries about one-fifth of the world’s oil trade.
Despite the strong warning, Trump also suggested that the ongoing conflict could end soon, claiming that Iranian military capabilities have been significantly weakened and that the campaign is progressing faster than expected. However, Iranian officials have rejected the claim, insisting that Tehran—not Washington—will decide when the war concludes
