Trump Signals U.S. Could Take “Very Strong” Military Action as Iran Protest Death Toll Mounts

U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that Washington is seriously reviewing a range of response options — including potential military measures — in reaction to the deadly crackdown on widespread protests in Iran that has reportedly killed hundreds of people. Rights groups estimate the number of fatalities from the unrest at more than 500, though communications blackouts make exact figures hard to verify.
