Stacy Wakefield, widow of Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield, dies

BOSTON – Stacy Wakefield, spouse of late Red Sox Corridor of Popularity pitcher Tim Wakefield, has kicked the bucket.

The family gave an assertion through the Red Sox affirming Stacy Wakefield's passing on Wednesday.

She was depicted as a “darling mother, girl, sister, niece, and auntie.”

Stacy Wakefield was encircled by loved ones at the hour of her passing, the family said.

Tim Wakefield, the amazing knuckleballer who brought home two Worldwide championship championships and enjoyed 19 years with the Red Sox and Privateers, kicked the bucket in October. The Wakefield family was vigorously engaged with the local area, as Tim was privileged director of the Red Sox Establishment.

“The misfortune is unfathomable, particularly right after losing Tim just shy of five months prior. Our hearts are past broken,” the Wakefield family said following Stacy's passing. “We will recall Stacy as a solid, cherishing, insightful and kind individual, who was surprisingly practical. We feel so fortunate to have had her in our lives, and we breathe easy in light of the way that she will be brought together with Tim, her first love.”
